Dozens of dogs muzzled and crammed into a small cage.
This is the most horrific picture of dog abuse that I’ve ever seen, and yet sadly I’m told this goes on all the time. If you look closely you will see that all of these dogs have been gag muzzled with nylon tie straps to shut them up from barking so loud–look at many of them gasping for each breath because the straps are so tight around their noses. Dozens of them were packed into this small cage so tightly that the sides of the cage wire are bulging at the seams. The rescue team and police saw this unforgettable scene–to their horror, the dog at the top was literally hanging by her neck while trying to balance on the backs of the pack below in order to stay alive; but the dogs below would move around trying to get her off of their backs. She looks like she’d been struggling like this for hours. This is an absolutely horrifying scene.
If I were the judge over those responsible I’d want to sentence them to “drug behind pickup truck until dead.” Maybe the legislators can pass that into law and make it retroactive for this.
